A Little Bit About us......

 

Welcome to the Church of Christ

 

We are a body of believers meeting at this location, and only one of thousands of congregations of the church of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Here are a few of our core beliefs:

 

•We recognize no earthly headquarters nor owe allegiance to anyone except Jesus, who is the head of the church which he has purchased with His own blood.

•We pattern ourselves after the Christians of the first century in collective worship, church organization and discipleship.  We do not claim to be perfect, but wholly and completely rely on the grace of God that is only found in Jesus Christ.

 

•We fully accept that a saving faith in Christ is an active faith.

 

•Our mission is to lift Christ up so that all men may be drawn to Him.

 

What can you expect in our worship assembly?

 

We gather together each Sunday, as the Christians in the first century did ...

 

On the first day of the week, we came together to break bread ... Acts 20:7

 

God in Spirit, and His worshippers must worship in Spirit and in truth.

 

As we do so, it is our aim to encourage one another's personal faith in Christ. John 4:24

 

We thought it best to provide a brief explanation of some of what you will see when visiting with us.

 

We sing together in "A Cappela" style

 

We raise our voices together singing traditional and contemporary songs without instrumental accompaniment.  The term a cappela originally meant "as the church."  Biblical and Historical studies indicate that the first Christians sang in this pure and inspirational manner.

 

We Share the Lord's supper together each week.

 

We contribute to the continuing work of the church.

 

We share in a lesson from the Word.
